Job Requirements:

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Manager - Hospital Operations to join our team at Sree Balaji Medical College and Hospital in Chromepet, Chennai, Tamil Nadu. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the hospital's daily operations, including managing staff, ensuring patient safety and satisfaction, and ensuring the hospital complies with all applicable laws and regulations.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Hospital Administration or a related field and at least 5 years of experience in a hospital setting. The candidate must have excellent organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the hospital's daily operations during the night shift, including managing staff, ensuring patient safety and satisfaction, and ensuring the hospital complies with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • To do the facility rounds daily and check the deficiencies in the departments.
  • Responsible for the night shift, i.e., Dispatch of Ambulance, Handling Queries/ Complaints of Patients, Discharge Evaluation, and Equipment downtime during night.
  • Handling the Billing Issues and Insurance Queries
  • Manage day-to-day operations of IP billing, ensuring accurate and timely processing of orders, invoices, and payments.
  • Coordinate and resolve billing discrepancies and optimize revenue collection.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide guidance and support to staff, resolve conflicts, and ensure adequate staffing levels to maintain optimal service delivery.
  • Coordinate and manage emergencies, including medical emergencies, security incidents, and facility issues, following established protocols.
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with all departments, staff, patients, and visitors, providing timely updates and information.
  • Prepare and submit incident reports, shift summaries, and other required documentation accurately and on time.
  • The Duty Report has to be forwarded to the Dean, which will cover issues handled, observations, staff grooming and attentiveness, VIPs and staff admitted status, etc.
  • Preparing MIS report on Daily, Weekly and Monthly basis
