This position is essential for managing and coordinating the flow of goods, materials, and resources across the supply chain—from procurement or production to final distribution and delivery. Its primary objective is to ensure operations are executed efficiently and on time. Logistics is vital to ensuring we deliver goods and services to our customers on time and in full. We need a dynamic leader who can inspire, coach, and develop a high-performing logistics team. The Equipment, Technology, and Services group at Koch Engineered Solutions (KES) is seeking an India Logistics Operation Lead to manage a dedicated local logistics team supporting operations in India.

The preference is to be located in Savli, India.

What You Will Do

• Support commercial in logistics cost estimates - Providing logistics support includes estimating, budgeting, and managing costs related to the entire logistics chain, ensuring that logistics operations are cost-effective and aligned with business goals. Communicate and negotiate with carriers and freight forwarders.
• Strategies aligned with regional and business goals - Effective logistics strategies align with both regional and business objectives, directly supporting business priorities. By balancing cost efficiency, speed, risk mitigation, and customer satisfaction across diverse markets, these strategies drive organizational success. Use economic thinking to challenge process and eliminate wasteful activity.
• Lead and coach a logistics staff - create a vision, set goals, and define a strategy for achieving established objectives while continuously improving the team's talent position. Ensure on-going engagement and alignment with global logistics team.
• Developing knowledge network, willing to seek and share the best knowledge as they help us challenge the current state with a sense of urgency and a goal of constantly improving and transforming logistics operation.
• Transportation planning / management - Plan and coordinate all logistics activities to ensure smooth flow of goods and materials. Arrange and manage transportation modes (road, sea, air) for inbound and outbound shipments. Prepare and manage shipping documents such as bills of lading, customs paperwork, and delivery notes.
• Build a culture that is results driven, integrated with all business functions, and clearly communicates its priorities. Hire and retain the talent necessary for this.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Minimum 8 years of experience and 3+ years' experience in supply chain/ logistics with a working knowledge of import/export regulations preferred.
• Experience managing carriers, 3PLs, and other logistics-related service providers.
• Strong level of organizational, project management and problem-solving skills with the ability to effectively collaborate and communicate across all levels of the organization.
• Experience working in a leadership role as a supervisor or a mentor for at least 3+years.
• Demonstrated ability to utilize data to drive action and influence.

What Will Put You Ahead

• Experience in a steel and/or stainless-based manufacturing environment is a plus.
• Working experience in an engineering-to-order manufacturing company is a plus.
