Post - Executive - Business Development

Employment Type- Fixed Term Employment on ERDA Rolls initially for 03 Years

Location - Bhopal , Gurugram, Chennai , Jaipur , Rabale

Only Electrical Background (Domain) Sales or Business Development candidates are eligible to apply.

Qualification - Essential - BE/ B.Tech- (Electrical Engineering)

Kindly DONT apply if you are not BE Electrical (Full time).

Desirable or Good to have - Full Time 2 years MBA degree in Marketing Management

Objectives of the position

  1. Increase in Revenue:- ERDA has planned Rs. 100 Crore revenue from operation for FYI Delhi NCR along with other northen utilities are most important customers of ERDA for In-house testing. Delhi NCR, Haryana is having major electrical equipment manufacturers of Distribution and Power Transformer, Cable, Conductors, Switchgear Products etc. Proposed Candidate has to promote business of ERDA Gurugram Lab along with services like Energy Audit, Power System Study, Mechanical NDT and Electrical Diagnostics testing business and Third Party Inspection of Electrical Equipment in and around Delhi NCR, Haryana & Punjab.

  2. Building Customer Relationship:- Should be able to build Customer relationship / Key Account Management concept with Utilities of Delhi NCR, Haryana & Punjab to generate more testing load for Vadodara and Gurugram Laboratory.

List of Activities / Key responsibilities

  1. To generate in-house testing business of Distribution Transformer, Energy Meter, Cable, Insulator, Switchgear, Conductor , Transformer Oil, CRGO etc. from utilities of Delhi NCR, Haryana & Punjab and other industries for approx. Rs. 8 Cr. per year . He also has to promote business of Energy Audit, Power System Study, Mechnical and Electrical Diagnostics business from Power and Process Plants of Delhi NCR, Haryana & Punjab.

  2. To make new ERDA Members and to generate new customers from this region

  3. To organise customer meet / Presentation / Workshop etc. in his region to key customer segments.

  4. To promote ERDA's brand image, acceptance and awareness to customers in his region.

  5. To generate Business opportunities, to prepare MIS, Making Presentation to customers, collect market information and co-ordination with Head Quarter at Vadodara.

  6. Coordination for tender activity (online as well as offline mode) for various jobs across Delhi NCR, Haryana & Punjab.

Technical Competencies/

Skills Required

  1. In depth knowledge of Business Development of Testing of Electrical Equipment in DISCOMS, TRANSCO and GENCOS (Including Hydro Power Plant).

  2. Knowledge of any Electrical Equipment testing / specification , Codes shall be advantageous.

  3. Knowledge of Field services e.g on-site testing, Energy Audit, Electrical and Mechanical Diagnostics, Power Systems study, Harmonics analysis etc. are desirable.

IT

  1. Good Knowledge of MS Word , EXCEL and Power Point presentation is must .

  2. Working knowledge on ERP ( Microsoft Dynamics NAV Preferred) and CRM Module in preferred.

Experience Description

(Minimum 2 to 15 years Maximum)

  1. Worked in Electrical / Power Equipment Manufacturing / Service Organisation / Power Plant / Process Plant

  2. Should be able to visit 10-15 days in a month to outstations within his territory ( Delhi NCR, Haryana, Punjab Market)

  3. Direct Customer dealing and business / lead generation experience with Uttar Pradesh Utilities (mainly DISCOMs) is must

  4. Should be well versed with Tendering Activity (Online as well as Offline

  5. Should have fluency in Hindi and English language.

Identify Important Activities (KRAs)

  1. Business Generation of at least Rs. 8 Cr. from Testing and Evaluation, Field Services and R&D & Expert Services.

  2. Creation of 10 nos. new Members and 15 nos. new customers from his region in first year of operation.

  3. To organise 06 nos. customer meet / Presentation / Workshop etc. in industrial region of Delhi NCR, Haryana & Punjab to key customers. Collection of Old outstanding payments from their region.
