Role & responsibilities

  1. Develop and implement production planning and control (PPC) strategies to meet customer demand and optimize resources.

  2. Lead and supervise Design, Production, Dispatch, Stores, and other operations teams.

  3. Provide technical guidance on hydraulic systems, components, and manufacturing processes.

  4. Streamline workflow, reduce lead times, and improve productivity across departments.

  5. Act as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for internal and external stakeholders specifically for Production, Design, Dispatch, and Stores to ensure smooth communication and workflow across these critical departments.

  6. Ensure adherence to ISO standards, safety regulations, and company quality benchmarks.

  7. Prepare budgets, monitor expenses, and drive cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality.

  8. Mentor, train, and build a high-performing cross-functional team.

  9. Collaborate with customers, vendors, and internal teams to meet project and delivery commitments.

  10. Forecast demand, plan production capacity, and ensure scalability to meet future growth.

  11. Develop strategic supplier relationships and negotiate contracts to secure competitive pricing and reliable supply.

  12. Evaluate and implement modern manufacturing technologies and automation to enhance efficiency.

  13. Identify operational risks and implement preventive and corrective measures to minimize downtime.

Preferred candidate profile

  1. Education: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (or related field). MBA/PGDM in Operations or Industrial Management is an advantage.

  2. Experience: Minimum 1520 years in hydraulics or heavy engineering manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.

  3. Strong knowledge of hydraulic equipment, components, and systems design/production.

  4. Proven track record in PPC (Production Planning & Control), supply chain management, and large-team leadership.
