PostgreSQL Developer/Administrator

Primary - PostgreSQL

Required Skills & Experience

• 7+ years of hands-on experience as Database Developer/DBA.

• Strong knowledge of MariaDB/MySQL and PostgreSQL internals.

• Proven experience in end-to-end database migration projects.

• Expertise in SQL tuning, indexing, partitioning, and query optimization.

• Familiarity with replication, high availability (HA), and disaster recovery setups.

• Experience working in Linux/Unix environments.

• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) is a plus.

• Experience with databases of 1-10TB in size across multiple database platforms

Experience with heterogeneous database migrations from one database engine to another

• Experience in performance optimisation techniques.

• Should have Experience on AWS Cloud technology

• Analyse AWS RDS Endpoint transactional database environments such as MariaDB, evaluate and plan migrations to AWS RDS, PostgreSQL

Mandatory Skills

• Hands-on with migration tools (AWS DMS, AWS SCT, pgloader, ora2pg etc.).

• Knowledge of DBA activities

• Exposure to security & compliance best practices (encryption, RBAC, auditing).

• Strong communication and documentation skills.
