Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Scrum Master / Project Manager with a strong background in Data Engineering and ETL. The ideal candidate will lead cross-functional data teams, manage project delivery using Agile methodologies, and bring hands-on understanding of data workflows, pipelines, and analytics. This role requires a balance of technical expertise, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead multiple data and ETL projects, ensuring on-time and high-quality delivery.
  • Act as Scrum Master for agile teams, facilitating sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and backlog grooming.
  • Manage project scope, schedule, risks, and dependencies across multiple teams.
  • Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and architects to translate business requirements into actionable technical tasks.
  • Drive continuous improvement in Agile maturity, process efficiency, and team collaboration.
  • Maintain project documentation, dashboards, and progress reports.
  • Coordinate with business stakeholders to define priorities and ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Oversee data integration, transformation, and quality assurance efforts across multiple systems.
Required Skills and Experience
  • 10–15 years of total experience, including 8+ years in project or program management.
  • Proven experience as a Scrum Master in Data Engineering / ETL / BI projects.
  • Strong understanding of ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend, DataStage, Azure Data Factory, etc.) and data warehouse concepts.
  • Experience with cloud data platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, or GCP).
  • Excellent knowledge of Agile/Scrum frameworks and metrics (velocity, burndown, etc.).
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience in stakeholder management and cross-team coordination.
  • Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, or similar Agile tools.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or PMI-ACP / PMP certification.
  • Hands-on background as a Data Engineer or ETL Developer earlier in career.
  • Exposure to data governance, data quality, and analytics projects.
  • Strong ability to drive outcomes in a global, matrixed environment.
