Role Overview
We are seeking a Business Development Executive to strengthen our car rental operations in Bangalore. The role involves driving new business opportunities, managing vendor and client relationships, ensuring smooth operations, and achieving revenue targets. The candidate must be self-motivated, target-driven, and capable of working independently in a field-based/remote setup.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, approach, and convert new business opportunities for car rental services (corporate clients, events, long-term rentals, one-way rentals, etc.).
- Source, onboard, and manage vendor/fleet partners to ensure compliance with quality and service standards.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, travel partners, and event agencies to drive repeat and referral business.
- Coordinate with the operations and dispatch teams to ensure smooth booking allocations and timely vehicle availability.
- Conduct regular market research to analyze competitor offerings, pricing strategies, and demand patterns.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with clients and vendors while ensuring profitability and service excellence.
- Meet defined monthly/quarterly revenue and business development targets.
- Conduct field visits for vendor inspections, client meetings, and market expansion activities.
- Provide regular sales reports, forecasts, and performance updates to management.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality, Travel Management, or a related field.
- 1–5 years of experience in business development, sales, or vendor management (experience in car rental, transport, or travel industry preferred).
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Willingness to travel locally within Bangalore for business development activities.
- Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools.
- Valid driving license (preferred).

- Number of vendors onboarded and active.
- Revenue growth and monthly/quarterly sales achievement.
- Number of new corporate or client accounts acquired.
- Customer satisfaction scores and reduction in complaints.
- Market expansion in new areas/localities.
