Roles and Responsibilities:
- Data Strategy & Ownership: Define and execute the enterprise data strategy, with a focus on Sales & Marketing data governance, ingestion, transformation, and reporting.
- Team Leadership: Build, mentor, and lead a team of Data Engineers, Power BI Developers and Data Stewards; foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with the Head of Commercial Operations to understand the reporting requirements of the Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Finance, and Product Management functions, and ensure delivery of actionable insights.
- Technology Leadership: Oversee the use of Snowflake and associated tools and staging technologies (including DBT, Airbyte, and AWS S3) for data ingestion, Power BI for visualization; ensure scalable, secure, and efficient use of these platforms.
- Governance & Best Practices: Champion data quality, lineage, and governance standards across the business.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with IT, Product, and external vendors to align data processes with business needs.
- Communicate Effectively: Clearly communicate quality-related risks, issues, and progress to stakeholders across the organization.
- Stay Current with Industry Best Practices: Continuously research and adopt the latest trends and best practices in data engineering and Power BI.
