Job Description:

We are currently seeking a Senior Communications Manager (Corporate) to be based in New Delhi/Mumbai. The ideal candidate will work in close collaboration with the Global Director of Communication and Sustainability to support the development and execution of both external and internal communications strategies in India. They should have 10 years of experience in corporate communications, preferably within multinational companies or communication consultancy firms, with a strong understanding of the energy or renewable energy sector. Proven experience in media relations and social media management is essential, as these will constitute key responsibilities of the role.

Key Responsibilities

External Communications:

• Develop the brand and reputation awareness strategy and annual plan.
• Define key messages and Q&A documents.
• Adapt global corporate communication materials for local use.
• Manage media relations:
• Media mapping and relationship building with key journalists in the energy sector.
• Pitch communication opportunities (interviews, reports, etc.).
• Create and distribute press releases.

Manage social media:

• Plan and create LinkedIn posts for Indian audiences aligned with the global strategy.
• Identify and manage speaking opportunities (including sponsorship).
• Support local leaders/spokespersons in handling communication opportunities.
• Organize events (e.g., solar plant interconnections, groundbreaking ceremonies), coordinating with event partners.

Internal Communication:

• Manage internal communication channels with India-specific content (creation of messages and design).
• Support internal event organization and develop campaigns to boost employee engagement in collaboration with HR.

Branding:

• Coordinate branding element requirements across India.

Qualifications:

• 12 years of experience in corporate communications or a communication agency.
• Background in the renewable energy or energy market.
• Degree in Communication or Journalism.
• Social media management experience.
• Proficiency in graphic design tools (Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva, etc.).

Desired Skills:

• Highly organized and detail oriented.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Skilled at building long-term stakeholder relationships (especially with journalists).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Good communication skills in Hindi.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
