Field Operator - Refinery - Copper
Responsibilities Production Planning and ExecutionOversee the operation of the Electrolyte Process Parameter, Electrolyte management and Cathode quality to ensure qualitative and quantitative production processes.
Coordinate with various departments to ensure timely and efficient handling, shifting, and storage of raw materials and finished products, such as anodes and cathodes.
Plan production schedules and coordinate with contract manpower for the movement and processing of anodes and cathodes.
2. Process Optimization and Continuous Improvement
Monitor and adjust process parameters of Electrolyte Process Parameter, Electrolyte management and Cathode quality to optimize performance and maintain operational efficiency.
Implement feedback loops to continuously improve the quality of anodes and cathodes.
Identify process bottlenecks and work with the service department to improve machine efficiency and reduce downtime.
3. Quality Assurance and Control
Conduct regular checks of raw materials, intermediate products, and finished goods, ensuring they meet the required quality standards.
Ensure the proper washing and cleaning of anodes during the operation to maintain quality.
4. Equipment Monitoring and Troubleshooting
Monitor the performance of Refinery machines, identifying and troubleshooting issues to prevent operational downtime.
Perform daily cleaning, self-maintenance, and routine checks of all equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
Coordinate with the service department to schedule preventive maintenance and address any breakdowns in a timely manner.
5. HSE and Regulatory Compliance
Adhere to and enforce strict safety protocols during all machine operations, including handling of materials and coordination with maintenance teams.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations during production activities.
Promote a safe working environment by conducting routine safety checks and ensuring proper usage of safety gear by contract manpower and other team members.
6. Resource and Workforce Management
Manage and coordinate contract manpower and supervisors for the smooth operation of Electrolyte Process Parameter, Electrolyte management and Cathode quality.
Allocate resources effectively to handle the shifting, storage, and movement of materials throughout the refinery process.
Train and mentor operators team to ensure adherence to operational procedures and enhance their skills in equipment handling and maintenance.
7. Reporting and Data Analytics
Record and report operational data for various processes to track production performance and machine efficiency.
Utilize data analytics to monitor machine performance, identify trends, and propose process improvements to management.
Generate daily and weekly reports on quality control, machine performance, and workforce efficiency to support decision-making.
8. Digitization and Tech Adoption
Leverage Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and other digital tools to monitor and control process parameters for control room operations.
Use digital dashboards and reporting tools to track real-time performance metrics and make data-driven adjustments for process optimization.
Stay updated on emerging technologies and incorporate relevant digital innovations to enhance operational efficiency and machine reliability Qualifications
Education Qualification:
Diploma in Chemical or related field
Work Experience:
Minimum 5 years of experience in similar type of machine operation and maintenance in the Copper Refinery industry
