Medical Director

- Oversee all medical activities and services within the facility or department.
- Develop and implement clinical policies, protocols, and standards of care.
- Serve as the primary liaison between the medical staff and hospital administration.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to physicians, residents, and other clinical staff.
- Participate in strategic planning and budget management for the medical department.
- Manage physician recruitment, credentialing, and performance evaluations.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and national healthcare regulations and accreditation standards.
- Lead quality improvement initiatives and patient safety programs.
- Mediate and resolve conflicts among medical staff, patients, and families.
- Represent the hospital or department at external meetings, conferences, and community events.
- Collaborate with other directors and department heads to improve overall hospital operations.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to patient outcomes, safety, and satisfaction.
- Lead root cause analysis for adverse events and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure continuous medical education (CME) and professional development for the medical staff.
