We are seeking a motivated and detail -oriented Level -1 Network Engineer tojoin our growing IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providingday -to -day support and monitoring of network infrastructure, troubleshootingissues, and assisting with the implementation of network projects. This is anentry -level position perfect for individuals looking to start their career innetwork engineering, with opportunities for growth and development. RequirementsKey Responsibilities: Monitor Network Performance: Responsible for initial steps of customer query or complaint , Regularly monitor network systems, routers, switches, firewalls, and other critical infrastructure to ensure optimal performance. · Troubleshooting& Support: Provide first -level supportfor network -related issues, including diagnosing and resolving networkconnectivity issues, equipment failures, and performance degradation. Frequentlyvisit to the client side. Coordination with Field Engineers to resolve thefield complaint with in TAT · IncidentManagement: Respond to network alarms,incidents, and service requests, ensuring timely resolution or escalation tosenior engineers as needed. Compliance of SLA/KPI of fiber network Documentation: Maintain accurate network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and change logs. Network Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks such as firmware updates, patch management, and hardware upgrades under the guidance of senior engineers. Security Compliance: Assist in implementing and monitoring network security protocols, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems. Assist in Deployments: Support the deployment of new network hardware and technologies, including cabling, rack mounting, and equipment installation. Collaboration: Work closely with other IT team members to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve network -related problems. Learning & Development: Stay updated with new network technologies, certifications, and best practices to enhance personal and team knowledge. Required Qualifications: Education:Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent experience is also acceptable.Certifications:Preferred certifications include CompTIA Network+, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), or similar.Technical Skills:Basic understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, sub netting, VLANs, and routing protocols.Familiarity with network hardware, including routers, switches, and firewalls.Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, Cacti Nagios) is a plus.Understanding of network security principles (firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS). Soft Skills:Strong analytical and problem -solving skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and challenges. Preferred Qualifications:Experience working in a help desk or technical support role.Hands -on experience with Cisco, Juniper, or other networking equipment. Physical Requirements:Ability to lift and install networking equipment (up to 50 lbs).Availability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, or on -call shifts if needed.
