Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Strategy & Planning

  • Lead annual financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting across all retail verticals (COCO, FOFO, EBO, MBO, D2C, etc.).
  • Guide leadership with financial models and insights for business expansion, cost optimization, and profitability improvement.

2. Accounting & Financial Operations

  • Ensure timely and accurate closing of books as per Ind AS/IFRS.
  • Supervise accounts payable, receivable, general ledger, intercompany transactions, and fixed assets.
  • Standardize processes across zones/stores for seamless integration and control.

3. Cash Flow & Working Capital Management

  • Monitor fund flow, working capital cycles, and capital expenditure.
  • Ensure cash availability for store operations, vendor payments, and expansion.
  • Optimize credit, collection, and payment cycles.

4. Taxation & Regulatory Compliance

  • Ensure accurate and timely filing of GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other statutory returns.
  • Liaise with auditors, legal advisors, and regulatory authorities.
  • Handle tax assessments, queries, and disputes efficiently.

5. Audit, Risk & Internal Controls

  • Establish a strong internal control framework across all financial operations.
  • Lead internal, statutory, and compliance audits with clean and timely closure.
  • Identify and mitigate financial and operational risks.

6. Business Finance & MIS

  • Enable retail operations with store-wise, category-wise, and region-wise MIS.
  • Track profitability, cost per square foot, shrinkage, and store ROI.
  • Partner with operations, merchandising, supply chain, and HR on financial impact and ROI modeling.

7. Team Leadership & Capability Building

  • Build, mentor, and retain a high-performing finance team across locations.
  • Foster a culture of compliance, ownership, and continuous improvement.
  • Encourage digital adoption, training, and process automation within the team.
