Job Description

We are looking for a 
Head of Accounts & Finance
 who will act as the financial custodian of

our company and be groomed into the 
CFO role
. This role demands strong leadership, strategic

financial planning, sharp business acumen, and 100% compliance oversight. The individual

will be a partner to the CEO in driving growth across multiple business verticals (B2C, C2B,

B2R, SaaS, VAS).

Key Responsibilities (KRAs)

1. Financial Planning & Strategy

∙Prepare and monitor 
annual budgets, forecasts, and rolling cash flow
 across all

verticals.

∙Partner with business heads to track P&L and provide insights for growth &

profitability.

2. Accounting & Reporting

∙
Oversee end-to-end accounting in line with 
Indian Accounting Procedures &

Compliance

∙Ensure 
monthly MIS, dashboards, variance analysis
 within T+5 working days.

∙Consolidation of group accounts and coordination with external auditors.

3. Compliance & Governance

∙Ensure 100% compliance with 
Income Tax, GST, TDS, Companies Act, PF/ESI,

FEMA reporting
.

∙Lead statutory, internal, GST, and tax audits.

∙Maintain strong internal controls, SOPs, and governance processes.

4. Costing, Pricing & Margins

∙Develop 
unit economics dashboards
 by vertical.

∙Work with business heads to validate margin structures.

∙Identify cost optimization initiatives to improve contribution margin.

5. Fundraising & Investor Relations

∙Support CEO in 
fundraising, valuations, data room management, due diligence
.

∙Maintain 
cap-table, ESOP plans, investor reports
.

6. Risk Management & Internal Controls

∙Implement strong approval hierarchies, credit risk frameworks, fraud monitoring.

∙Monitor partner/vendor payouts and bulk buyer exposures (B2R/B2E).

7. Team & Systems

∙Lead and mentor finance & accounts team.

∙Implement and optimize ERP/finance automation tools for scale.

Candidate Requirements

∙
CA qualified (mandatory);
 additional MBA/Finance degree a plus.

∙10–15 years' experience in 
accounts, finance, compliance, and strategy
.

∙Prior experience in 
startup/e-commerce
is an advantage.

∙Strong knowledge of 
taxation, audits, corporate laws.

∙Proven ability to 
lead teams, implement systems, and partner with

CEOs/Founders
.

∙Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to act as a 
business partner, not just a

controller
.
