Job Description

The Virtual Reality Content Tester ensures the quality, functionality, and user experience of immersive VR applications, games, and environments. This role focuses on identifying bugs, usability issues, and performance problems to help developers deliver seamless, engaging, and safe VR experiences.

Key Responsibilities

Test VR applications, simulations, and environments for performance, usability, and functionality.

Identify and document bugs, glitches, crashes, or inconsistencies during gameplay or interaction.

Conduct user-experience testing to evaluate comfort, intuitiveness, and immersion.

Assess hardware-software compatibility across different VR devices (e.g., Oculus, HTC Vive, PlayStation VR).

Provide feedback on design elements, interaction mechanics, and content accessibility.

Collaborate with developers, designers, and QA teams to reproduce and resolve reported issues.

Ensure VR content complies with safety, accessibility, and performance standards.

Stay informed about VR industry trends, device updates, and testing best practices.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Game Design, Interactive Media, or related field preferred.

Experience in QA testing, software testing, or VR/AR applications is an advantage.

Familiarity with VR hardware and controllers.

Strong problem-solving and attention-to-detail skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting findings.

Comfort with repetitive testing tasks and ability to follow structured testing protocols.

Desired Skills

Understanding of game engines (Unity, Unreal Engine).

Knowledge of usability and accessibility testing in immersive environments.

Passion for gaming, VR, or interactive media.

Ability to identify and describe user comfort issues such as motion sickness or disorientation.
