The Trade Service Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the execution and delivery of trade-related services, ensuring compliance with regulations, enhancing customer satisfaction, and optimizing operational efficiency. This role often involves supervising trade finance, import/export documentation, and trade operations teams to ensure smooth and accurate processing of client transactions.

  • Lead and manage the daily operations of the trade services department, including trade finance, documentation, and customer service functions.
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of trade transactions, such as Letters of Credit (LCs), Bills of Lading, Collections, Guarantees, and Import/Export documentation.
  • Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to ensure efficiency and regulatory compliance.
  • Monitor trade transactions to detect risks and ensure anti-money laundering (AML), sanctions, and trade-based compliance are met.
  • Act as a point of contact for internal stakeholders and clients to resolve trade-related issues and provide expert advice.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with clients, banks, logistics partners, and customs authorities.
  • Provide leadership, training, and development to team members.
  • Continuously improve customer service delivery and promote a client-focused culture.
  • Analyze service performance data and produce reports for senior management.
  • Ensure all activities are conducted in accordance with company standards and international trade regulations (e.g., UCP 600, ISP98, Incoterms).
  • Strong knowledge of international trade procedures, instruments, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in trade finance products and systems (e.g., SWIFT, trade finance platforms).
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure and deadlines.
