Role Description

We are hiring Supplier Quality Surveillance (SQS) Engineers for an extendable, contract-based on-site role in Bengaluru. The role involves conducting supplier quality assessments, monitoring supplier performance, and ensuring compliance with international standards. Responsibilities include facility inspections, quality process reviews, NCR resolution, preparation of inspection reports, and participation in supplier audits. The position also requires collaboration with project teams to uphold and enhance supplier quality standards for major Oil & Gas, LNG, Upstream, and Downstream projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct supplier quality surveillance, including audits, inspections, and compliance verification.
  • Prepare and review Procurement Requisitions (PR), Material Requisitions (MR), and Bid Documents.
  • Review, monitor, and approve QAPs, ITPs, and supplier quality documentation in line with project requirements.
  • Coordinate with vendors to resolve quality issues and manage NCRs and CAPAs effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with international codes and standards (ASME, API, ASTM, IEC, ISO).
  • Support project teams in supplier selection, bid evaluations, and quality assurance activities.
  • Carry out vendor/shop inspections, audits, and surveillance visits across India and internationally.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in Quality Inspection and Supplier Quality Management.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO standards.
  • Hands-on skills in conducting supplier audits and preparing inspection reports.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time, and handle multiple priorities.
  • Experience in industrial manufacturing or related industries will be an added advantage.
