The Audit & Risk HRBP team is hiring a Principal Associate to support key HR priorities within Audit & Credit & Financial Risk Management (CFRM). The ideal candidate will be data-oriented and exhibit strong judgment, influencing, and problem solving skills; who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative, and values-oriented team.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Collaborate with clients, HRBPs, and HR partner groups (people analytics, recruiting, compensation, tech talent, AR, diversity & inclusion) to effectively execute on people strategy, HR processes, and reporting.
• Execute cyclical HR processes including: performance management, talent management, all associate surveys, and Monthly Business Reviews.
• Develop walk-around decks, communications, and training materials to be used in preparing managers and associates for cyclical talent & performance management processes; may include facilitator or train the trainer sessions.
• Facilitate performance and talent management sessions and/or provide notes as needed.
• Partner with clients to build effective relationships, and understand business imperatives to effectively execute on HR solutions that are aligned to the business needs.
• Consult with associates, managers, and HR partners who require assistance on HR-related issues.
• Coach people managers on situations including general leadership skills (Include/Empower/Inspire framework), org design, performance concerns.

Basic Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification.
• At least 2 years of client facing experience, consulting experience OR a combination.
• At least 2 years of experience in Human Resources.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree or military experience.
• MBA or Masters degree.
• Professional Human Resources Certification or Project Management Professional Certification or combination.
• 3 years of client facing experience, consulting experience or a combination.
• 3 years of experience in in Human Resources or Human Capital Consulting.
• At least 1 year of experience in Project or Process Management.

Salary Information

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

• McLean, VA: $117,300 - $133,900 for Pr. Associate, HR Business Partner
• Richmond, VA: $106,700 - $121,700 for Pr. Associate, HR Business Partner

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidates offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
