Position Overview

JRF is seeking a
transformational leader
to serve as
Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
. The CEO will work in close consultation with the Founder and Board, spearheading the Foundation's operations, strategy, and growth.

The ideal candidate will blend business acumen with empathy for grassroots communities, while driving financial sustainability, organizational capacity building, and long-term impact.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Operations

• Provide overall leadership and direction to JRF in alignment with its vision and values.
• Develop and implement strategic plans, including
  5-year growth plans
  and annual operating plans.
• Ensure efficiency, transparency, and impact across all projects and programs.
• Lead organizational branding and visibility efforts at the state, national, and international levels.

Program & Impact Management

• Oversee design, execution, monitoring, and evaluation of all projects.
• Establish robust
  KPI-driven systems
  for efficiency and accountability.
• Strengthen JRF's research, training, and knowledge-building capacities.

Financial Sustainability & Fundraising

• Lead
  fundraising strategy
  including grants, sponsorships, CSR partnerships, and individual giving.
• Build financial models to ensure long-term sustainability.
• Manage donor relations, reporting, and impact communication.

People & Culture

• Build and nurture a high-performing team with strong HR systems.
• Mentor and inspire staff, fostering professional and spiritual growth.
• Promote a culture of integrity, accountability, and empathy.

Partnerships & Advocacy

• Represent JRF with government bodies, donors, NGOs, and private sector stakeholders.
• Drive
  public-private partnerships
  and collaborations to scale JRF's impact.
• Strengthen JRF's role as a thought leader in social entrepreneurship and rural development.

Qualifications & Experience

• Education:
  Bachelor's degree required; Master's in Social Sciences/Management/Development Studies preferred.
• Experience:
  10–15 years of leadership experience in reputed foundations, trusts, social enterprises, or development organizations working in rural livelihoods and social development.
• Proven track record in
  fundraising, strategy design, program management, and stakeholder engagement
  .
• Experience with governance, not-for-profit management, and community relations desirable.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and organizational development skills.
• Business acumen with ability to ensure
  financial viability
  of programs.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in
  English, Hindi
  (knowledge of other Indian languages is an advantage).
• Proficiency in
  MS Office Suite
  and digital collaboration tools.
• Ability to influence and build relationships across diverse communities, sectors, and stakeholders.
