Role Overview
The Food & Beverage Trainer is responsible for delivering high-quality training programs to students and staff in the hospitality sector. The role focuses on imparting knowledge, skills, and industry best practices in food & beverage operations, service standards, customer handling, and hygiene. The trainer ensures that learners are industry-ready and capable of providing excellent guest service.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deliver training sessions on Food & Beverage service, restaurant operations, bar management, and hospitality standards.
- Conduct practical demonstrations and role-play sessions to enhance hands-on learning.
- Train students on menu knowledge, table service techniques, order-taking, guest interaction, and complaint handling.
- Ensure learners are well-versed in hygiene, food safety, and workplace sanitation standards.
- Assess learners performance through tests, assignments, and practical evaluations.
- Provide personalized mentoring and support to students to improve their skills and confidence.
- Stay updated with the latest hospitality industry trends and incorporate them into training modules.
- Maintain training records, prepare reports, and coordinate with placement teams to support student employability.
Skills & Competencies Required
- Strong knowledge of F&B operations, hospitality service standards, and customer engagement.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to engage and motivate students/trainees effectively.
- Strong organizational and classroom management skills.
- Knowledge of hygiene, food safety regulations, and quality control.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelors degree/diploma in Hotel Management, Hospitality, or related field.
- 3–5 years of industry experience in F&B service/operations, preferably in reputed hotels or restaurants.
- Prior experience in training or teaching (preferred but not mandatory).
