Role Overview

The Food & Beverage Trainer is responsible for delivering high-quality training programs to students and staff in the hospitality sector. The role focuses on imparting knowledge, skills, and industry best practices in food & beverage operations, service standards, customer handling, and hygiene. The trainer ensures that learners are industry-ready and capable of providing excellent guest service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deliver training sessions on Food & Beverage service, restaurant operations, bar management, and hospitality standards.
  • Conduct practical demonstrations and role-play sessions to enhance hands-on learning.
  • Train students on menu knowledge, table service techniques, order-taking, guest interaction, and complaint handling.
  • Ensure learners are well-versed in hygiene, food safety, and workplace sanitation standards.
  • Assess learners performance through tests, assignments, and practical evaluations.
  • Provide personalized mentoring and support to students to improve their skills and confidence.
  • Stay updated with the latest hospitality industry trends and incorporate them into training modules.
  • Maintain training records, prepare reports, and coordinate with placement teams to support student employability.

Skills & Competencies Required

  • Strong knowledge of F&B operations, hospitality service standards, and customer engagement.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to engage and motivate students/trainees effectively.
  • Strong organizational and classroom management skills.
  • Knowledge of hygiene, food safety regulations, and quality control.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelors degree/diploma in Hotel Management, Hospitality, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of industry experience in F&B service/operations, preferably in reputed hotels or restaurants.
  • Prior experience in training or teaching (preferred but not mandatory).
