Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Human Resources Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will support various HR functions and contribute to the overall efficiency of our human capital management initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a solid understanding of employment and labor laws, and a passion for fostering positive employee relations.
Duties
- Assist in the recruitment process, including job postings, screening candidates, and coordinating interviews using ATS systems such as Lever and iCIMS.
- Facilitate employee orientation and onboarding processes to ensure a smooth transition for new hires.
- Support talent acquisition efforts by sourcing candidates through various channels, including social media management.
- Maintain accurate employee records in HRIS systems such as Workday, Paychex, or Oracle HCM.
- Administer benefits programs and assist employees with inquiries related to benefits administration.
- Collaborate with HR team members on performance management processes, including employee evaluations and training & development initiatives.
- Provide support for FMLA requests and workers' compensation claims while ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations.
- Assist in change management initiatives and strategic planning efforts to enhance organizational design.
- Participate in affirmative action planning and succession planning activities as needed.
- Conduct data entry and collection tasks to support HR reporting and analytics.
Experience
- Previous administrative experience in a human resources setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with HR practices including talent management, employee relations, project management, and conflict management is essential.
- Knowledge of employment & labor law as well as workforce management principles is advantageous.
- Proficiency in using HR software such as Dayforce, UltiPro, Paylocity, or Ceridian is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while maintaining attention to detail.
