Position: Project Associate Environment & Communications

Location: Delhi

Department: Environmental Research / Sustainability / Communications

Role Summary

The Research Associate (Environment & Digital PR) will support environmental research projects, assist with data collection and analysis, and manage digital communication activities to promote environmental awareness and project outcomes. The role requires a blend of environmental science expertise, analytical skills, and strong digital communication capabilities. Also work as a Technical Assistant to President for policy papers and research

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare high-quality research outputs, including reports, policy briefs, presentations, and project documentation.
  • Manage digital public relations activities, including social media planning, content creation, online campaigns, and outreach.
  • Draft communication materials such as press releases, newsletters, infographics, and awareness content related to environmental research.
  • Engage with stakeholdersincluding government agencies, NGOs, academic institutions, and community groupsthrough meetings, events, and collaborations.
  • Maintain research databases, ensure data accuracy, and contribute to timely monthly and quarterly reporting.
  • Assist in awareness and capacity-building programs by preparing educational materials and supporting training sessions.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of environmental science, sustainability, climate issues, or ecology.
  • Proficiency in digital communication, social media management, and content creation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, both technical and public-facing.
  • Strong organizational abilities, attention to detail, and multitasking capacity.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Environmental Science, Ecology, Sustainability, Natural Resources, or a related field.
  • Certification or experience in Digital Public Relations, Communications, or Social Media Management (preferred).
  • Prior research experience or project-based experience in environmental programs is an advantage.
