Job Description:

The Lead, IT Project Management role is an essential project and people leader in delivering projects on time, within budget, aligned with strategic goals, providing career development, implementing training and development initiatives to upskill employees, develop strategies to attract and retain top talent and using data-driven approaches to identify recruitment needs. Oversee project management activities within the ES Technology and support business segments, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage multiple IT projects from initiation through completion.
  • Develop project plans, including scope, timelines, resources, and budget.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure effective project execution.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders and management.
  • Implement project management best practices and methodologies.
  • Monitor project performance and implement changes as necessary to ensure project goals are met.
  • Conduct regular project reviews and post-implementation evaluations.
  • Mentor and develop project management team members.
  • Foster a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, Project Management, or a related field;
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management within IT.
  • Proven experience in managing large-scale IT projects.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, Trello, Smartsheets).
  • Relevant project management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is highly desirable.

Project Management Competencies

  • Strong background in Agile, Scrum, and/or Waterfall methodologies.
  • Hands-on experience with PM tools (Jira, MS Project, Smartsheets etc.).
  • Ability to manage complex cross-functional projects.
  • Budget and timeline management expertise.

Soft Skills

  • Proactive communicator with stakeholder management skills.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and results-driven.
  • Comfortable operating in fast-paced environments.

Future-Ready Skills

  • Workflow automation tools.
  • Strong understanding of AI tools.
  • Data dashboarding (Power BI, Tableau).
  • AI-enhanced planning and risk forecasting.
