Candidate will be stationed in Chennai and will cover 5 states (TAMILNADU, KERALA, ANDRAPRADESH, TELEGANA, KARNATAKA)

Role Overview

We are looking for a Techno-commercial Assistant Sales Manager with hands-on knowledge of RO-based water treatment plants who can engage directly with water treatment plant manufacturers, EPC contractors, and system integrators to sell RO membranes (Make: Filmtec), softener resin (Make: Amberlite).

Key Responsibilities

  • Visit water treatment plant manufacturers, OEMs, and EPC companies
  • Promote and sell:

  • RO membranes (BWRO / SWRO / UF)

  • Ion exchange resin (softener/ DM/MB/UPW)

  • Understand customer plant design and recommend suitable membranes & Ion exchange resin

  • Handle technical discussions on:

  • Feed water quality

  • TDS, SDI, recovery, flux, hardness
  • Ion exchange resin for hardness removal.

  • Coordinate trials, product evaluation, and follow-ups

  • Achieve monthly / quarterly sales targets
  • Market intelligence and competitor tracking

Technical Knowledge Required

  • RO plant design basics:

  • Pre-treatment (MMF, ACF, softener)

  • RO skids, CIP systems

  • Working knowledge of:

  • RO membrane selection & performance

  • Ion exchange grades & application

  • Ability to read:

  • Water analysis reports

  • P&IDs / process flow diagrams (basic level)

  • Familiarity with industrial segments:

  • Pharma, power, food & beverage, desalination, wastewater reuse

Candidate Profile

  • Education:

  • B.E / B.Tech (Chemical / Mechanical / Environmental)

  • OR Diploma or General strong field experience

  • Experience:

  • 3-8 years in water treatment sales

  • Prior experience selling RO membranes / Ion exchange resin / filtration products preferred

  • Skills:

  • Strong communication & negotiation

  • Willingness to travel extensively
  • Relationship building with OEMs & consultants

Preferred (Added Advantage)

  • Existing network with RO plant manufacturers
  • Experience in membrane, water components
  • Exposure to small to medium size RO plants (eg : 1m3/hr to 25m3/hr)
