Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive IT strategy that aligns with the institution's goals and objectives.
  • Manage the school and college's technology infrastructure, including hardware, software, networks, and servers, ensuring they are up-to-date and reliable.
  • Develop and maintain an IT security strategy and ensure the institution's data and network are secure and protected from external and internal threats.
  • Oversee the management of the institution's IT support services, including help desk support, technical support, and training for staff and students.
  • Develop and manage the IT budget and ensure that all IT purchases and expenses are within the budget.
  • Identify and evaluate new technologies and tools that can improve the institution's IT infrastructure and operations.
  • Work with the faculty and staff to integrate technology into the institution's curriculum, instructional design, and assessment.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures related to the institution's IT operations, ensuring compliance with regulations and laws.
  • Provide regular reports to the administration and other stakeholders regarding the institution's IT infrastructure and operations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing IT operations in educational institutions or similar organizations.
  • Strong knowledge of network and systems administration, database management, cybersecurity, and software development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with various stakeholders, including faculty, staff, students, and vendors.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues quickly.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Strong leadership skills to manage the IT team effectively.
  • Familiarity with educational technology tools and platforms is an added advantage.
