Role Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced and technically proficient
Sr. Data Architect
with
10+ years
of experience in data engineering and a strong focus on
Snowflake
. This role requires leadership in technical design, architecture, and the implementation of complex, scalable data solutions.

Working Model

• Working Hours:
  8 hours daily
• Schedule:
  12 PM - 9 PM
  (IST)
• Overlap:
  Mandatory overlap is required with the
  EST Time zone
  to facilitate critical meetings.

The candidate will lead the design and implementation of data solutions, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and reliability within the Snowflake ecosystem.

Core Responsibilities

• Architecture Leadership:
  Lead the
  design and architecture
  of data solutions leveraging
  Snowflake
  , ensuring
  scalability, performance, and reliability
  .
• Implementation Oversight:
  Oversee the implementation of
  data pipelines, ETL processes
  , and
  data governance frameworks
  in Snowflake environments.
• Data Extraction:
  Ensure
  efficient data extraction from SAP BW/ECC systems
  .
• Stakeholder Collaboration:
  Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into
  technical specifications and data models
  .
• Standards & Best Practices:
  Develop and maintain data architecture
  standards, guidelines, and best practices
  , including
  data governance principles
  and
  DataOps methodologies
  .
• Performance & Optimization:
  Conduct
  performance tuning and optimization
  of Snowflake databases and queries.
• Team Development:
  Provide
  technical guidance and mentorship
  to data engineering teams.
• Continuous Learning:
  Stay updated on emerging trends in
  Snowflake, cloud data technologies, data governance, and DataOps practices
  .

Required Technical Skills

• Cloud Data/Snowflake:
  Extensive experience in designing and implementing data solutions using
  Snowflake
  .
• Data Modeling:
  Proficiency in
  data modeling, schema design, and optimization
  within Snowflake environments.
• DW Concepts:
  Strong understanding of
  cloud data warehousing concepts and best practices
  (specifically Snowflake).
• Data Tools/Tech:
  Expertise in
  Python/Java/Scala, SQL, ETL processes
  , and
  data integration techniques
  , with a focus on Snowflake.
• Governance/Ops:
  Demonstrated experience in implementing
  data governance frameworks
  and
  DataOps methodologies
  . Knowledge of principles is a must.
• Cloud Platforms:
  Familiarity with other cloud platforms and data technologies (e.g.,
  AWS, Azure, GCP
  ).
• Streaming/CDC:
  Familiarity with
  realtime streaming technologies
  and
  Change Data Capture (CDC)
  mechanisms.
• Other Tools:
  Experience with
  DBT
  .
• Track Record:
  Proven track record of
  architecting and delivering complex data solutions
  in cloud platforms/Snowflake.

Secondary Skills (Preferred/A Plus)

SAP Systems:
Understanding of SAP BW/ECC systems, including data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL/ELT) processes.

SAP ABAP:

• Experience in designing, developing, and implementing SAP ABAP programs, reports, interfaces, and enhancements.
• Working experience in SAP environments.

Visualization:
Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.

Security:
Knowledge of data security and compliance standards.

Soft Skills:
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts.
