Key Responsibilities

Sourcing & Vendor Management

  • Identify and evaluate suppliers, artisans, and manufacturers (local & global).
  • Negotiate pricing, lead times, and terms to achieve target margins.
  • Maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure consistent quality and supply.

Production Management

  • Oversee production from sampling to final delivery, ensuring adherence to specifications and timelines.
  • Resolve bottlenecks and ensure smooth coordination between vendors and internal teams.
  • Work with QC teams to ensure brand quality standards are met.

Category & Commercial Contribution

· Support range planning based on trend, seasonality, and consumer insights.

  • Track category sales, channel sales, margins, and inventory to inform replenishment or markdown strategies.
  • Provide insights based on market trends and customer demand.

· Conduct regular sales analysis to optimize product mix, pricing, and markdown strategies.

· Ensuring revenue targets and profitability are met for the brand.

· Prepare regular category performance reports, cost analysis, and supplier scorecards

Quality & Compliance

  • Implement QC protocols and conduct periodic product inspections.
  • Ensure compliance with ethical and sustainability guidelines.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Coordinate with design, merchandising, logistics, and marketing teams for timely launches as per the quarterly plans.
  • Align product readiness with campaign and sales timelines.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Textile/Fashion Design, or related field.
  • 4–5 years' experience in sourcing, production, or merchandising (home décor/lifestyle preferred).
  • Strong negotiation, vendor management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Good understanding of category performance metrics and costing.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP systems, and production tracking tools.
  • Willingness to travel for vendor visits and quality checks.
