Role Overview

The New Product Development (NPD) Manager will lead the end-to-end process of identifying, sourcing, developing, and launching innovative products for both Impetus and Tyohaar. This role requires a proactive, creative, and detail-oriented professional who can translate market trends and brand vision into successful, high-quality product offerings.

Key Responsibilities1. Product Discovery & Research

  • Continuously research emerging trends, customer needs, and market opportunities aligned with brand identity.
  • Analyze competitor products, pricing, and performance to identify potential gaps in the market.
  • Develop new product ideas and concepts with strong differentiation and commercial potential.

2. Vendor Development & Sourcing

  • Identify and contact potential manufacturers, suppliers, and third-party vendors for product development and procurement.
  • Evaluate vendor capabilities, negotiate pricing, MOQs, and timelines.
  • Maintain healthy vendor relationships and ensure consistent product quality and timely deliveries.

3. Product Development & Coordination

  • Oversee sampling, prototyping, and packaging development.
  • Coordinate with vendors, designers, and internal teams to ensure smooth product creation from concept to final production.
  • Manage approvals for product design, quality, and compliance.

4. Pricing & Negotiation

  • Work closely with finance and operations teams to determine cost structures and profitable pricing strategies.
  • Negotiate best terms with vendors while maintaining quality and brand standards.

5. Inventory & Supply Chain Coordination

  • Coordinate with inventory and logistics teams to track stock levels, reorder points, and production timelines.
  • Ensure smooth product flow from vendor to warehouse and availability across platforms (Shopify, marketplaces, etc.).
  • Regularly monitor sales and stock data to make data-driven restocking or discontinuation decisions.

6. Launch Management

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to plan and execute new product launches.
  • Prepare launch timelines, product briefs, and key selling points for internal and external communication.

7. Continuous Innovation

  • Maintain a rolling pipeline of new product ideas across both brands.
  • Evaluate product performance post-launch and gather feedback to improve future products.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Good communication skills, should be fluent in English.
  • 1–3 years of experience in Product Development, Sourcing, or Category Management (preferably in retail, lifestyle, or consumer goods).
  • Experience working with third-party manufacturers or vendors (domestic and international).

KPIs / Success Metrics

  • Number and success rate of new product launches.
  • Vendor cost efficiency and negotiation effectiveness.
  • On-time product launch rate.
  • Inventory accuracy and stock turnaround.
  • Product performance (sales and feedback).
  • 3–5 years of experience in Product Development, Sourcing, or Category Management (preferably in retail, lifestyle, or consumer goods).
  • Experience working with third-party manufacturers or vendors (domestic and international).
