Project:
-onboarding new customers in Mumbai Data Center, migrating them to our Equinix Cloud
-new customers that we are onboarding now, basically setting up what I call a kit firewalls, paraswitches, they ship them out to the customer site, they are preconfigured, with the help of a smart hands person, ship it out to the customer site, and bring up the site to site VPN – which is very important. About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Network Security Engineer to support our Mumbai Data Center operations. This is a backfill position for an engineer going on maternity leave. The role involves onboarding new customers, setting up secure network infrastructure, and migrating services to our Equinix Cloud environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Configure and deploy FortiGate (70%) and Palo Alto (30%) firewalls.
- Set up routing and switching infrastructure for customer onboarding.
- Work with Forti Manager and Panorama for centralized firewall management.
- Preconfigure firewall kits and para switches for shipment to customer sites.
- Collaborate with Smart Hands personnel to establish site-to-site VPNs.
- Support customer migrations to Equinix Cloud from Mumbai Data Center.
- Troubleshoot and optimize network performance and security.
Required Skills:
- Strong hands-on experience with FortiGate firewalls (primary) and Palo Alto firewalls (secondary).
- Proficiency in Routing and Switching.
- Experience with Forti Manager and Panorama.
- Familiarity with VPN setup and troubleshooting.
- Ability to work independently and coordinate with remote teams.
Team Structure:
Resource be a part of a 10–12-member team.
