Role Overview

The Store Manager – Logistics is responsible for overseeing end-to-end warehouse and inventory operations, ensuring smooth inbound/outbound movement of goods, optimal stock accuracy, team management, and compliance with safety and quality standards. The role requires strong leadership, planning, and coordination with procurement, operations, and distribution teams.

Key Responsibilities

1. Warehouse Operations Management

  • Manage day-to-day store/warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch.
  • Ensure adherence to SOPs for all logistics and inventory processes.
  • Monitor warehouse layout, space utilization, and housekeeping.

2. Inventory Control

  • Maintain 99%+ stock accuracy through regular cycle counts and audits.
  • Track inventory levels, slow-moving/fast-moving goods, and reorder triggers.
  • Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies.

3. Inbound & Outbound Coordination

  • Oversee GRN (Goods Receipt Note) process and documentation.
  • Coordinate with transporters for timely dispatch and delivery schedules.
  • Optimize turnaround time for loading/unloading.

4. Team Leadership

  • Supervise store executives, pickers, packers, and forklift operators.
  • Provide training on SOPs, safety, and process improvements.
  • Monitor performance and ensure shift discipline.

5. Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, statutory norms, and EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) standards.
  • Maintain records for audits (internal/external).

6. Reporting & Documentation

  • Prepare daily/weekly/monthly MIS reports (inventory, dispatch, productivity).
  • Manage documentation for inbound/outbound shipments, billing, and stock movements.

7. Vendor & Stakeholder Coordination

  • Liaise with procurement, quality, production, sales teams, and external vendors.
  • Address issues related to transport, shortages, damages, and delays.

Skills & Qualifications

Required

  • Graduate degree (preferably in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Commerce).
  • 5–8+ years of warehouse/store/logistics management experience
  • Good understanding of transportation, inventory norms, and store operations.
  • Leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
