About the Role

Elephant Brain Lab and Fundaction MedAlgoritmo is seeking a Senior Unity VR Developer to lead the development of immersive, intelligent environments powered by AI agents and neurofeedback systems.

You'll build high-fidelity VR simulations that interact dynamically with real-time physiological and cognitive data — shaping next-generation experiences in AI, neuroscience, and cognitive technology.

This is a senior hands-on role combining Unity VR mastery, AI integration, and real-time system architecture for research, training, and experimental gameplay.

What You'll Do

  • Design and develop fully immersive VR environments integrated with AI-driven agents and real-time data streaming.
  • Implement EEG and biosignal-based neurofeedback mechanisms that adapt gameplay and environmental states dynamically.
  • Collaborate with AI teams to embed agentic AI systems (RAG pipelines, LLMs, speech models) into Unity VR workflows.
  • Build low-latency streaming pipelines (WebSocket, gRPC, or RTP) for synchronizing sensor and AI data inside VR scenes.
  • Develop interactive data visualization interfaces for physiological and behavioral feedback within VR.
  • Ensure cross-platform performance (Quest, PCVR, SteamVR) and optimize rendering, latency, and network communication.
  • Integrate speech interaction (STT/TTS) and AI dialogue systems for in-environment communication.
  • Oversee CI/CD, versioning, and code quality for production-ready Unity applications.
  • Collaborate with neuroscientists, designers, and AI researchers to create adaptive, data-driven experiences.

Must-Have Skills

  • 5+ years of Unity development with shipped projects in VR (Quest, SteamVR, PCVR).
  • Strong expertise in C#, with proficiency in Python for backend or AI pipeline integration.
  • Experience building real-time data streaming applications with EEG / sensor integration.
  • Knowledge of cloud deployment (AWS/GCP/Azure) for managing data and AI inference APIs.
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate AI agents, speech systems (STT/TTS), or RAG-based APIs into Unity.
  • Deep understanding of VR interaction systems, locomotion, UX, and optimization for performance.
  • Excellent debugging and profiling skills for GPU/CPU optimization in VR.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills — fluent English (written and spoken).

Nice-to-Have

  • Familiarity with neurofeedback SDKs (OpenBCI, Cognionics, Muse, or custom EEG APIs).
  • Experience in LangChain / LangGraph or agent-based AI orchestration.
  • Background in neurotech, human-computer interaction (HCI), or AR/VR research.
  • Proficiency in C/C++ or native plugin development for low-level VR system integration.
  • Understanding of real-time analytics pipelines (Kafka/Flink) or cloud data visualization tools.
  • Contributions to open-source Unity / AI projects or academic research.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹100, ₹170,000.00 per month
