Job Summary:

A leading manufacturer is seeking a the Fabrication Shift Supervisor will oversee day-to-day production activities in the fabrication department, ensuring all work is executed as per standard processes, quality parameters, and production plans. The role requires strong leadership, technical understanding of fabrication and welding processes, and hands-on supervision to meet daily production targets efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Allocate manpower and resources as per the shift plan provided by PPC.

2. Monitor in-process work at all fabrication stations to ensure adherence to defined standards and procedures.

3. Review and verify daily production reports and ensure accurate system entries.

4. Coordinate with quality department to offer completed products for inspection.

5. Identify and implement process improvements to minimize rework and reduce process time.

6. Maintain 5S standards across all workstations and the shop floor.

7. Escalate design, planning, or departmental issues to the Shift In-Charge.

8. Manage absenteeism, approve worker leaves, and prepare overtime memos as needed.

9. Conduct on-the-job training sessions to improve worker skills and reduce defects.

10. Review worker skills periodically (every 3 months) and provide feedback to the Shift In-Charge.

11. Prepare and hand over shift reports to the next supervisor with complete documentation.

12. Raise issue slips for consumables, machine breakdown memos, and follow up until closure.
