Job Description for QA Automation Testing ::

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Design comprehensive and effective test cases for various testing levels. Oversee and participate in test execution, ensuring thorough coverage.
  • Analyze defect trends to improve overall software quality.
  • Develop and maintain strategies for effective test data management and ensure the availability of realistic and diverse test datasets.
  • Collaborate with development, product management, and other cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on testing priorities and goals.
  • Define and track key testing metrics to measure and improve testing efficiency. Generate and communicate test reports to stakeholders.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and implement best practices. Lead process reviews and contribute to the overall improvement of development processes.
  • Conduct knowledge-sharing sessions to enhance team capabilities.
  • Evaluate and introduce new tools and methodologies for testing improvement.
  • Implement and maintain QA standards, methodologies, and procedures across projects. Ensure adherence to industry best practices, quality guidelines, and compliance requirements.

Required Skill set:

  • 5+ years of total experience in testing complex projects; with min 4+ yrs. of experience in Automation testing with below skills

  • Functional testing(UI and API testing)-Must have

  • API automation using Rest assured Must have
  • Selenium +JAVA – Must have
  • Cucumber+Kotlin – Must have
  • SFTP – Must have
  • Project Management tool – Jira – Must have
  • Test case writing/ reviewing – Must have
  • Postman – Must have
  • MySQL for DB integrations – Must have
  • Project management methodologies - Agile/Kanban – Must have
  • TestNG – Good to have
  • Testrail – Good to have
  • AWS(s3) /Azure – Good to have
  • Linux Commands – Good to have
  • Data generator- Filezilla – Good to have

  • Performance testing- CloudTest – Good to have

  • Experience on Web application testing.

  • Proficient in at least one programming language commonly used in test automation, such as Java, Python etc.
  • Experience with build tools such as Maven or Gradle.
  • Experience with Linux Commands.
  • Knowledge of Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) tools like Jenkins.
  • Knowledge of various testing types including functional, regression, Database and APIs testing.
  • Ability to design effective test cases, considering both positive and negative scenarios.
  • Familiarity with defect tracking tools preferably Jira and working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to identify, isolate, and debug issues during the testing process.
  • Willingness to stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in software testing and automation.
  • Ability to create and maintain test documentation, including test plans and test cases.
  • Critical thinking, attention to detail, problem-solving, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with developers, quality assurance teams, and other stakeholders to ensure product quality.
  • Experience working with global clients with strong communication skills.
