Job Summary:

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented
QA Engineer
with up to 2 years of experience in manual testing, who have potential to learn and implement
test automation
, including
mobile application testing
. This role involves validating backend APIs, frontend UIs, and mobile apps, along with progressively integrating automation into the QA process. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in writing test cases, executing test plans, reporting bugs, and a foundational understanding of automation frameworks and mobile testing practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Understand product requirements and translate them into comprehensive
  test scenarios and cases.
• Perform
  functional, regression, integration, smoke, and mobile app testing
  across platforms (Android/iOS).
• Validate
  backend APIs
  , status codes, response payloads, and error handling using tools like
  Postman, Swagger, or REST Assured
  .
• Conduct
  manual UI testing for web and mobile interfaces
  , ensuring cross-browser and
  cross-device compatibility
  .
• Use tools like
  Browser Stack or real devices/emulators
  to verify responsive behaviour and mobile UX.
• Create and maintain detailed test documentation including test plans, test cases, and
  defect logs.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to ensure product quality across web and mobile platforms.
• Gradually build and maintain automation scripts using
  Selenium, Playwright, Cypress,
  or mobile-specific tools like
  Appium or Detox
  .
• Participate in
  Agile/Scrum
  ceremonies and provide QA input during story grooming and sprint planning.
• Log, track, and retest bugs across multiple platforms including web and mobile.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 2+ years of experience in
  manual testing
  (web, API, and mobile).
• Strong knowledge of
  STLC, SDLC, and bug lifecycle
  .
• Hands-on experience with
  API testing tools like Postman, Swagger, or Insomnia
  .
• Experience validating
  RESTful APIs
  including request/response payloads and status codes.
• Exposure to
  mobile testing tools (e.g., Appium, Firebase Test Lab, Xcode Instruments, Android Studio Profiler).
• Familiarity with browser developer tools and mobile debugging techniques.
• Basic understanding of
  HTML, CSS, JavaScript, browser DOM
  , and mobile layouts.
• Familiarity with
  JIRA
  or similar bug tracking tools.
• Strong skills in writing
  clear, concise, and comprehensive test cases and reports
  .
• Foundational knowledge of
  automation testing tools like Selenium WebDriver, Cypress, Playwright, and Appium.
• Basic programming skills in
  JavaScript, Java, or Python
  , and experience with
  Git/version control.
• Experience with
  test data creation
  , mocking services, and simulating various mobile network conditions.
• Familiarity with basic
  performance testing
  concepts using
  JMeter
  or similar.
• Understanding of
  Agile methodologies
  , story estimation, and QA role in sprints.

  accessibility, usability

  mobile UX testing standards

Nice to Have:

• Exposure to
  CI/CD tools

  for automated test execution.
• Experience with
  database testing
  using SQL (e.g., PostgreSQL).
• Ability to write reusable
  test utilities
  and maintain stable automation test suites.
• Understanding of
  Page Object Model
  (POM) and data-driven testing.
• Experience with cross-browser and cross-device testing using
  Browser Stack, Sauce Labs, or Playwright Grid.
• Knowledge of headless browser testing using
  Puppeteer or Playwright
  .
• Familiarity with test management tools such as
  TestRail, Zephyr, or Xray
  .
• Basic experience with performance testing tools like
  k6, JMeter, or Locust
  .
