Senior QA Automation Engineer

Location: Coimbatore, India (Hybrid: 2 days in office, moving to 3 days soon)

Employment Type: Full-time / Contract-to-Hire (C2H)

Working Hours: 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM IST

Salary Range: 13,00,000 to 15,00,000 annual CTC

Experience: 6 to 8 years

Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer with expertise in functional, regression, and integration testing. The role requires strong test automation skills, proficiency in modern QA tools, and the ability to work across SIT, STAGE, Sandbox, and UAT environments in collaboration with engineering stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, create, and execute functional, regression, and end-to-end integration test cases
  • Ensure comprehensive test coverage across manual, automated regression, and integration tests
  • Develop and maintain automation frameworks using Selenium, Cucumber, and Karate
  • Perform API testing with Postman, SOAPUI, or similar tools
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve defects and support multiple test environments
  • Write and review test strategy documents and acceptance criteria
  • Integrate automation suites with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins
  • Track test progress and defects using tools like Jira or Rally
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint deliverables
  • Coordinate testing efforts across multiple releases to ensure stability and quality

Required Skills & Experience

  • 68 years of QA experience with strong focus on test automation
  • Hands-on expertise in Selenium, Cucumber, API testing, and Karate
  • Ability to understand and work with Java & Spring codebases
  • Proficiency with IDEs such as Eclipse or IntelliJ
  • Experience with relational databases (MS SQL, Oracle)
  • Familiarity with version control systems like Bitbucket or Git
  • Knowledge of BDD/TDD frameworks
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with Splunk, Dynatrace, and Checkmarx for monitoring and security validation
  • Experience in test automation within Agile/Scrum environments
