Job Title: Senior KDB Developer

Location: Pune

Salary: Up to 16 LPA

Experience: 6 to 10 years

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Senior KDB Developer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on expertise in KDB+/q programming and strong experience working with real-time market data systems, particularly within FX and trading environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize KDB+/q services and applications.
  • Work with large volumes of time-series market data using multi-tier KDB+ architecture (RDB/HDB/WDB).
  • Collaborate with Traders, Quants, and other tech teams to support trading and analytics platforms.
  • Implement and manage Ticker Plant architecture for real-time data ingestion.
  • Ensure system performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Integrate KDB+ with other programming environments (e.g., Python, Java, C++) using tools like PyKX.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 610 years of hands-on experience with KDB+/q programming.
  • In-depth knowledge of KDB+ architecture, including Ticker Plant, RDB, HDB, and WDB.
  • Strong grasp of mathematical concepts, data structures, and critical thinking.
  • Good understanding of financial markets, especially FX, IRDs, and Fixed Income products.
  • Familiarity with real-time tick data handling.
  • Programming experience in Python, Java, or C++ is a plus.
  • Prior experience working directly with Traders and Quants.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of surveillance models such as Market Abuse Detection or Trader Mandates.
  • Experience with KDB+ and third-party integrations or libraries (e.g., PyKX).
  • Exposure to regulatory or compliance reporting tools.
