Shiloah Therapy and Learning Centre was started with a purpose to improve lives of children with special needs by delivering effective evidence based interventions by qualified therapists.

Our therapy centre, based in Koramangala, Bengaluru, serves children and young people with a diverse range of mild to severe developmental needs, including autism, physical, visual and/or hearing disabilities, and learning disabilities.

Our mission is to decrease the challenges faced and enhance the lives of individuals with ASD and children with various challenges and their families by providing one-to-one instruction, education, training, guidance, and resources.

Job Title: Behaviour
(ABA)
Therapist with 2+ years of relevant work experience

Responsibilities

:

  • Apply ABA techniques to modify behaviours and teach new skills;
  • Identify the learning and adaptive functioning issues the children face;
  • Conduct formal or informal assessments to understand the behavioural functioning of the children;
  • Plan and develop IEPs with parents for children;
  • Manage and coordinate behaviour programs to improve attending and imitation skills as well as receptive and expressive language skills;
  • Monitor children's

progress by collecting and analysing data to measure the effectiveness of interventions
- Conduct parent meetings to discuss the progress and current functioning of the students;
- Work with individual children on their emotional state, their social skills, and build comprehension as each child experiences a different level of delay in their development;
- Assist with academic work for those children who are in need of it;
- Collaborate with other interdisciplinary team members, such as speech therapists, occupational therapists, and special educators, to ensure a holistic approach for progress;
- Stay current with the latest research and trends in behaviour analysis and apply this knowledge to improve client outcomes;
- Be willing to participate in a a variety of extra-curricular an co-curricular activities including personal and professional development and

attend workshops on topics related to inclusion and education for students with special needs.

Requirements:

  • Master's Degree in the field of Psychology and an additional certification in ABA;
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working in behaviour analysis, preferably with individuals diagnosed with ASD or other developmental disabilities;
  • Strong knowledge of ABA principles;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Can adapt accordingly to meet the needs of individual students;
  • Able to work on-site 5.5 days a week;
  • Knowledge and experience in therapy for autism are highly desirable for this position. Specifically, experience in evidence-based therapies and Social Skills Training is preferred.
