HR Executive Job Description
A Human Resources (HR) Executive is responsible for administering and managing the day-to-day operations of the HR office. This role ensures the company's HR programs and policies are executed efficiently and are compliant with labor laws.
Key Responsibilities
The main duties of an HR Executive typically fall into the following categories:
- Recruitment and Onboarding:
- Manage the full-cycle recruitment process, including posting job ads, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and conducting background checks.
- Prepare and issue offer letters and employment contracts.
- Conduct employee onboarding and orientation to ensure a smooth integration into the company.
- Employee Relations and Welfare:
- Act as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and compensation.
- Handle employee grievances, disciplinary issues, and conflicts in accordance with company policy and legal requirements.
- Organize and manage employee engagement activities and wellness programs.
- Compensation and Benefits:
- Administer the monthly payroll process, including calculating wages, deductions, and processing tax forms.
- Manage employee benefits programs (e.g., health insurance, leave entitlements, retirement plans).
- HR Administration and Compliance:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records (both physical and digital) in the Human Resources Information System (HRIS).
- Ensure compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations.
- Prepare and analyze HR reports on key metrics such as turnover, attendance, and recruitment costs.
- Performance Management and Training:
- Coordinate and support the performance appraisal process.
- Identify employee training needs and help organize training sessions and professional development programs.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: Usually requires 0-5 years of experience in an HR role.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of labor laws, HR practices, and ethical standards.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with HRIS systems (e.g., SAP, Workday, BambooHR) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational and time management abilities.
- High degree of confidentiality and professionalism.
