APCO is seeking an HR Intern to join our New Delhi office. The intern will support core HR administrative tasks and generalist responsibilities across our India offices. This role requires working in a fast-paced environment and contributing to the smooth operation of the HR function nationwide.
Role responsibilities:
- Manage core HR administrative processes for all India offices and act as the primary point of contact for HR support and guidance.
- Liaise with the office manager for all admin related tasks.
- Create and maintain standard reports and ensure administrative efficiencies.
- Enter and validate data within HR information systems and other required databases.
- Maintain personnel files and ensure all HR documentation is up to date.
- Manage induction processes for regional new starters, including preparing materials, delivering HR sessions, and coordinating logistics.
- Support the online performance management process by providing guidance to employees and supervisors.
- Oversee administration of the online review process on HRIS and ensure timely completion of performance review forms.
- Coordinate the leaver process and ensure compliance with internal procedures.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date payroll and employee data spreadsheets.
- Ensure all payroll-related items are submitted accurately and within deadlines.
- Liaise with benefits providers to register staff, handle inquiries, and manage cancellations.
- Complete ad-hoc assignments and reports as requested by the HR team.
Qualifications and Standards:
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration, HR, or equivalent.
- Demonstrate knowledge of Indian Labor Law (preferred).
- Legal eligibility to do an internship in India.
- Computer skills: MS Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize and perform under tight deadlines.
Internship Location: New Delhi
Internship Type: Hybrid (3 days in office)
Duration: At least 3 months
Work Schedule: Full-time schedule
Availability: Immediate start preferred
Stipend: INR 10,000 per month
