Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated Agriculture Officer to play a key role in our company. The primary responsibilities for this position will be delivering expert agronomy services to farmers, driving retail sales of our agri-input products, and supporting local marketing initiatives. The ideal candidate will have hands-on field experience and a strong background in agricultural science.

Key Responsibilities

* Agronomy Services: Conduct regular field visits to understand farmer needs, diagnose crop issues (pests, diseases, nutrient deficiencies), and provide expert technical advice and solutions.

* Retail Sales: Manage and drive sales at our retail counters, ensuring excellent customer service and product knowledge dissemination.

* Marketing & Promotion: Assist in organizing and executing local marketing activities, such as farmer meetings, field demonstrations, and promotional campaigns.

* Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with farmers, key influencers, and local communities to foster trust and loyalty.

* Reporting: Maintain accurate records of field visits, farmer interactions, and sales activities. Provide regular feedback to the management team on market trends and competitor activities.

Required Qualifications and Skills

* Education: A Bachelor's degree (B.Sc.) or Diploma in Agriculture, Horticulture, or any allied science.

* Experience: Minimum of 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in the agriculture industry.

* Background: Experience must be in agri-input sales, R&D (field trials), or manufacturing.

* Field Experience: Proven experience in conducting field visits and providing direct agronomy services to farmers is essential.

* Language: Fluency in Tamil (reading, writing, and speaking) is mandatory.

* Mobility: Must be willing to relocate as per company requirements and travel extensively within the assigned territory (Salem/Trichy regions).

* Skills: Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
