Role & responsibilities
- Collaborate with external lawyers to evaluate land records and conduct a thorough due diligence for all deals and transactions. Highlight concern areas and recommend risk mitigation strategies / options.
- Participate with the Legal team depending upon the existing and future business plans.
- Handling customer litigation, and consumer related experience.
- Guide and direct other functions on compliance matters both at the corporate level and at the site level
- Provide legal administration services and institutionalize legal support and control processes across different functions in the company
- Ensure timely and efficient coordination with the business partners on all issues of disputes and policy interpretation
- Identify external legal counsels and consultants for various jobs as and when required. Effectively coordinate with outside counsels for litigations and contract management
- Develop a database of legal, regulatory & statutory requirements for the company
- Provide legal support to the Sales team in the sale deed preparations, agreements, registrations etc and provide support for customer satisfaction
- Ensure effective management of legal documentation
Principal Accountability
- Drafting of legal documents such as MOU, Agreement to Lease/ License, Conveyance documents, Lease Deeds, Sale Deeds, License Agreements etc.
- Negotiation and legal closure of agreements such as service agreements, NDA's etc and other agreements to be executed by the Company
- Keep abreast of and inform management on relevant developments in real estate, such as court ruling or legislative amendments.
- Monitor performance of external lawyers/law firms used.
- Co ordinate with and seek legal opinion, as required, from legal advisors.
- Ensuring proper contract stamping and registration of all the agreements including all execution formalities
- Prepare weekly/monthly/quarterly legal reports, as per the dashboard formats
- Supporting the operations team to deal with day to day legal issues at the stores and resolve problems with minimum brand and risk exposure;
Preferred candidate profile
Qualifications / Experience Required
- LLB /LLM degree from a reputed law school 15-25 years of relevant experience, who has exposure towards litigation & non-litigation matters.
Candidates who are aware of Kannada language, Kannada Reading, Writing & Speaking mandatory.
Male candidates are preferable from the construction sector.

- Solid understanding of law relating to immovable property
- Achieve results with a high level of energy and commitment
- Understand own goals and responsibilities; monitor own progress. Demonstrate personal accountability
