Job Overview: (Sales Operations Specialist- 2+ Years)

The Sales Operations Specialist will support the sales team in driving operational efficiency, improving sales processes, managing presales documentation, and coordinating key activities such as government RFPs, renewals, order processing, and proposal creation. The role requires strong coordination skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams including Presales, Finance, Delivery, and Procurement.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

  1. Government RFPs (Sourcing & Submitting)

  2. Identify and source relevant Government/PSU RFPs through portals and tender platforms.

  3. Review RFP requirements and coordinate with Presales, Technical, and Finance teams for compliance.
  4. Prepare and compile all required documents, annexures, forms, and technical/commercial proposals.
  5. Ensure timely submission of bids (online/offline) and maintain tracking of submitted RFPs.
  6. Manage tender-related clarifications, corrigenda, and follow-ups.

  7. Renewals, Cross-Sell & Upsell

  8. Track contract renewals for existing customers and ensure timely closure.

  9. Coordinate with the sales team to identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities in networking, security,

cloud, storage, and managed services portfolios.

  • Prepare renewal quotes and follow up with customers for PO closure.
  • Maintain reports for renewals pipeline and ageing.

  • Order Loading & Sales Processing

  • Manage end-to-end order loading in CRM/ERP systems.

  • Verify customer POs, commercials, taxes, and contract terms before order booking.
  • Coordinate with internal teams (procurement, finance, delivery) for order fulfilment.
  • Maintain accuracy of sales data, order status, and dashboards.

  • Proposal Creation & Documentation

  • Prepare sales proposals, commercial quotations, SOWs, and customer presentations.

  • Standardize proposal templates and ensure compliance with branding and commercial policies.
  • Support account managers with pricing, BOM validation, and basic presales documentation.

  • Sales Operations Support

  • Maintain sales MIS, dashboards, forecasts, and revenue reports.

  • Track sales performance metrics and support management reviews.
  • Ensure accuracy of CRM data, lead updates, and pipeline hygiene.
  • Coordinate for vendor registrations, partner programs, and documentation support.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or related field.
  • 2–6 years of experience in Sales Operations, Bid Management, or Presales within ICT/Telecom/IT industry.
  • Strong knowledge of government tender process (GeM, e-Proc portals, PSU portals).
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, CRM tools, and documentation.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work under tight deadlines.
