Role & responsibilities

  • Design and develop robotic mechanisms, automation fixtures, and SPMs for manufacturing and R&D applications.
  • Perform kinematic/dynamic analysis, tolerance analysis, and failure mode analysis for robotic and SPM systems.
  • Use CAD (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or CATIA) for 3D modeling and detailed manufacturing drawings.
  • Work with cross-functional teams (Ros, electronics, controls, AI/ML) for mechatronic integration.
  • Apply finite element analysis (FEA) and simulation tools for design validation.
  • Conduct prototyping, assembly, and commissioning of robotic/SPM solutions.
  • Document technical specifications, assembly manuals, and user guides.
  • Continuously research and integrate emerging technologies (cobots, vision systems, AI-driven automation).
  • Coordinate with vendors & solution providers.

Special Requirements

  • Exposure to ROS/ROS2, PLCs, industrial robots (ABB, KUKA, Fanuc, Delta, etc.), or custom robotic platforms is a plus.
  • Experience in robotics competitions/projects or prior work on AMRs, quadrupeds, or manipulators will be an advantage.
  • CTC Band
  • LPA (can be adjusted upwards for robotics/SPM expertise).

Qualifications

  • B.E./B.Tech/M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering / Mechatronics
  • Knowledge of robotics, automation, and special-purpose machine design

Required Experience

  • Minimum 23 years in design and development of robotics systems, automation machines, or special-purpose machines (SPM).
  • Hands-on experience with actuators, sensors, pneumatics, hydraulics, and motion systems.
