Application Development Associate Advisor

Position Overview

In this role, you will provide hands-on software engineering and system architecture design for Finance and Treasury Delivery teams. You will be working on several of the largest Technology initiatives for Evernorth℠ targeted at revolutionizing Health Services and Healthcare Delivery system. The focus of the work is to continue to enhance our market winning capabilities and tools in this space.

The solution focuses on enabling this change using the latest technologies and development techniques to operate business operations efficiently with no down times.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership, vision, and architectural/design direction for the team
• Leads the team in troubleshooting and problem resolution. 
• Aligns engineering solutions with the Technology strategy and supports the application's requirements. 
• Plans and implements procedures to maximize engineering and operating efficiency for application integration technologies. 
• Identifies opportunities and drives process improvements. 
• Takes accountability for the technology assets owned by the team. 
• Provides leadership to the team to achieve the following objectives:
  • Design, configuration, implementation of middleware products and application design/development within the supported technologies and products. 
  • Proactive monitoring and management design of supported assets assuring performance, availability, security, and capacity.

Qualifications

Required Skills:

Full-Stack Development - Design, develop, and maintain both front-end (client-side) and back-end (server-side) components of web applications or software. Architecture & Design - Plan and design the overall structure and architecture of applications, ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability. Front-End Development-  Implement user interfaces using technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks such as React, Angular, .NET or or similar.Back-End Development - Develop server-side logic, APIs, and databases using languages like .NET Core, , Python, Java, Ruby on Rails, or PHP. Database Management - Design, implement, and manage databases (SQL and NoSQL) to store and retrieve data efficiently. API Development -  Design, develop, and integrate RESTful or GraphQL APIs for communication between front-end and back-end components. Testing & Debugging -Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure code quality and functionality, and debug issues effectively. Performance Optimization - Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks to ensure a smooth and responsive user experience. Code Quality & Standards - Maintain high code quality by following coding standards and best practices, and conducting code reviews. Version Control -  Use version control systems (e.g., Git) to manage code changes and collaborate effectively with other developers. Staying Current - Keep up-to-date with the latest technologies, frameworks, and best practices in web development. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization. Strong interpersonal/relationship management skills. Strong time and project management skills. Familiarity with agile methodology including SCRUM team leadership.   

Required Experience & Education: 

7+ years of experienceProven experience working with technical teams with a passion for the developing the talent within the team.  Experience with an onshore/offshore model. Proven experience with architecture, design, and development of large-scale enterprise application solutions. College degree (Bachelor) in related technical/business areas or equivalent work experience.  

Nice to have skills:

Experience in Software Development through Agile Methodology such as SCRUM.Experience/Knowledge of standards, structures and compliance to application standards and methodologyExperience in multi-platform distributed environment, web-based architectures and Micro servicesExperience with CI/CD pipelines and testing process Experience with cloud technologies like AWS or Azure.
