Software Engineering Associate Advisor

Position Summary:

Software Engineering Associate Advisor:  Cigna, a leading Health Services company, is looking for an exceptional engineer that has a breadth of knowledge in computer science, a problem-solving mentality and a passion for continuous improvement.  The candidate must have superb analytical and technical skills coupled with the ability to design with the end-user in focus.  The applicant will be working on a technology team that works closely with our content design teams in the operations organization.  They will be responsible for working cross functionally to develop solutions to support outbound member, prescriber and client communications.

Job Description & Responsibilities:

A Software Engineer Associate Advisor is expected to deliver on the request and develop with the intention to anticipate potential issues and either code resolutions or properly convey issues to relevant stakeholders.  We work closely with outside teams who may not understand the depth of their request.  We need to communicate in a way they understand to guide our users to the best solution while understanding all risks and challenges.  Additionally, you will help the content teams during work hours with issue resolution and design advice in Inspire Interactive.

Experience Required:

• 8 – 11 years of relevant technical experience
• 5+ years using Quadient Inspire Interactive
• 3+ years using Quadient Inspire Designer
• Working knowledge of Quadient Inspire Scaler and ICM

Experience Desired:

• Experience working with Workflow Gates and TNO design practices
• Experience writing advanced scripts
  • Inspire Designer – Advanced Data Output modules
  • Inspire Designer – Data Transformer Scripts
• Experience in AWS environment
• MessagePoint design knowledge
• OpenText ExStream design knowledge
• SmartComm design knowledge

Education and Training Required:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent relevant work experience and technical knowledge

Primary Skills:

• Use of Inspire Interactive, Designer, ICM, and Scaler
• Creatively solve issues that are easy to understand by your team
• Assist Inspire Interactive users with issues they experience

Additional Skills:

• Architect solutions where the end user has as much control as possible
• Write referenceable & modular code
• Have a quality mindset, not just code quality but also to ensure ongoing data quality by monitoring data to identify problems before they have business impact
• Motivated to successfully meet deadlines, attention to detail and ability to multi-task
• Critical thinking, problem solving, and strong troubleshooting skills
• Passion for identifying gaps and improving processes
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work cross functionally
• Be fluent in areas and have proficiency in many areas
