About the Role

Tinkle Comics Studio is looking for a Social Media Strategist who can strengthen and scale the digital presence of one of India's most iconic comic brands. This role is for someone who deeply understands the world of Tinkle, its characters, humour, and legacy - and can translate that into smart, engaging, high-quality content across platforms.

This is not a performance marketing role.

We are looking for a creative content strategist who can also manage the technical execution of campaigns, publish content, optimise posts, and understand the backend of social tools.

Key Responsibilities

Content Strategy & Ideation

Develop and manage a platform-wise content strategy for Tinkle Comics Studio on Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, and emerging platforms.

Build monthly content calendars that include storytelling, character-led content, memes, reels, creator collabs, and brand-building ideas.

Work with illustrators and writers to bring characters like Suppandi, Shambu, Tantri, Ina Mina Mynah Mo and others into digital-first storytelling formats.

Conceptualise campaigns for festive moments, new story drops, merch launches, Comic Con, events, and brand partnerships.

Technical Execution & Platform Management

Handle end-to-end publishing: captions, thumbnails, tags, scheduling, optimisation.

Set up and run basic boosted campaigns, audience targeting, and A/B tests (NOT deep performance marketing).

Manage backend platforms like Meta Business Suite, Ads Manager (basic), YouTube Studio, and analytics dashboards.

Community Building & Engagement

Build a strong and positive fan community aligned with Tinkle's fun, witty brand voice.

Engage with comments, queries, DMs, and fan-generated content.

Identify opportunities for creator collaborations, nostalgic moments, and fandom-building.

Campaign Planning

Plan and execute brand campaigns: new merch drops, anniversaries, character-led events, and experiential campaigns.

Collaborate with brand, editorial, design, and merchandising teams to align campaigns with larger goals.

Analytics & Reporting

Track growth, reach, engagement, retention, and content performance.

Prepare weekly and monthly reports with insights and recommendations.

Analyse competitors, trends, and best practices in the comic, youth culture, and pop culture space.

Required Skills & Experience

Must-Have

2–5 years of experience in social media strategy, content creation, or brand marketing.

Strong content sensibility — video formats, reels, storytelling, humour, and character branding.

Good working knowledge of:

Meta Business Suite

Basic Ads Manager setups

YouTube Studio

Analytics tools

Excellent writing ability and understanding of Tinkle's tone, brand personality, and characters.

Preferred

Someone who knows the Tinkle brand — ideally a fan, reader, or someone familiar with the characters and style.

Experience working with entertainment, youth brands, storytelling, or pop culture.

Ability to brief creators, script short-format content, or do basic edits.
