Key responsibilities

• Ensure safety is top priority within the area of responsibility.

• Ensure that proper and high-quality support to fleet groups & vessels to optimize operations on time and budgets within.

o Power Generation

o Automation Systems

o Navigation and Communication Systems

o Onboard IOT Systems

• Ensuring equipment under responsibility is maintained within budget in co-ordination with stakeholders and negotiated service contracts.

• Actively contribute to maintain existing data management systems and implement data driven decisions across fleet within areas of responsibilities.

• Actively Maintain Database of Lifecycle Status of Electrical, Automation Navigation and Communication equipment on responsible Vessels.

• Review of Planned Maintenance activities for Electrical, Automation Navigation and Communication equipment and develop Maintenance strategies for efficient operation

• Liaise with Maersk Procurement with regards to the purchase of stores and spares and, at the same time, ensuring that they are procured timely and at the right cost.

• Ensure timely approval of requisition/orders as well as that invoices are paid within the areas of responsibility by the due date.

• Monitor the quality of all service providers and providing feedback as and when required

• Continuously develop and maintain a broad and worldwide network of external specialists and co-operative partners.

• Ensure that proper business/economic evaluations are made for a cost-effective operation

• Contribute pro-actively to the continuous development of own team as well as Fleet Technology-Electrical & Automation Team.

We are looking for:

• The ideal Candidate has bachelor's degree in electrical engineering with operational work experience in the Maritime Industry with strong competence in Marine Electrical, Automation, Navigation & Communication Systems.

• Minimum 5+ years of experience as an Electrical Superintendent or Service Engineer.

• In Depth knowledge of maintenance of Marine Electrical, Automation, Navigation & Communication Systems.

• Ability to carry out in depth troubleshooting and guide vessels for effective case resolutions

• Knowledge on Latest Cybersecurity standards for Maritime Equipment

• Proficient in use of MS Excel, BI, PowerPoint tools

• Self-Starter with a collaborative mindset
