Job Title: Workday HCM Techno-Functional Developer

Location: Bangalore, India

Experience Range: 6+ Years

Mandatory Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong experience in Workday Financial Management modules including:
  • General Ledger (GL)
  • Accounts Payable (AP) / Accounts Receivable (AR)
  • Asset Management
  • Expenses
  • Procurement / Supplier Accounts
  • Banking & Settlement
  • Financial Reporting & Analytics
  • Hands-on configuration experience with Business Processes, Security, and Workday Setup
  • Expertise in Workday Reporting (Advanced, Composite, Matrix, Prism)
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles (GAAP, IFRS)
  • Experience with multi-entity, multi-currency consolidations
  • Exposure to financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Familiarity with audit, compliance, and controls (SOX, statutory reporting)
  • Knowledge of Workday Integrations (EIBs, Core Connectors, Workday Studio, APIs)
  • Experience managing Workday releases and enabling feature adoption

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Lead functional design workshops with Finance stakeholders across R2R, P2P, and O2C processes
  • Configure Workday Financials modules based on business requirements
  • Support Chart of Accounts design, accounting rules, allocations, and reporting structures
  • Drive data conversion and validation (open balances, suppliers, customers, historical data)
  • Collaborate with integration teams for seamless connectivity with external systems
  • Develop and test Workday reports, dashboards, and analytics for Finance leadership
  • Manage business process configurations to align with compliance and audit needs
  • Perform system testing (unit, end-to-end, UAT), defect resolution, and cutover planning
  • Work with Workday Solution Architects to ensure scalable and consistent design
  • Provide training, documentation, and knowledge transfer to finance users
  • Ensure regulatory compliance (SOX, GAAP, IFRS) in configurations
  • Support post go-live stabilization and manage Workday periodic releases

Managerial & Soft Skills

  • Strong stakeholder management (CFOs, Controllers, Finance leadership)
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Project management experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
  • Change management and team mentoring capabilities
