The facilitator will help students develop critical thinking, real-world application, and ethical decision-making in the context of global commerce.

Job description

  • Teach IBDP Economics and Business Management according to IB syllabus requirements.
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive lesson plans and learning resources aligned with IB frameworks.
  • Prepare students for internal assessments and external exams, ensuring familiarity with assessment criteria.
  • Support accountancy concepts through electives, enrichment programs, or supplementary coursework.
  • Encourage analytical and evaluative skills using case studies, simulations, and real-world examples.
  • Guide students in Extended Essays and Internal Assessments relevant to the subject areas.
  • Collaborate with IB colleagues for interdisciplinary planning (including TOK and CAS).
  • Use technology and digital tools effectively to enhance teaching and learning.
  • Provide regular feedback to students and communicate with parents regarding progress.
  • Uphold the IB philosophy, academic honesty, and the Learner Profile attributes.

Qualifications and Position Requirements:Bachelor's degree in economics, Business, Accounting, Commerce, or related field (Master's preferred).

  • Recognized teaching certification or credential.
  • Strong understanding of IBDP subject guides, assessment rubrics, and global contexts.
  • Ability to guide students in data analysis, financial reporting, and economic modeling.
  • Versatility in handling more than one IBDP subject (Economics, BM, or Accountancy-focused modules).
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with current economic trends, business practices, and ethical considerations.
  • Willingness to engage in professional development and IB workshops.
  • Commitment to fostering a learning environment that encourages inquiry, reflection, and real-world application.
  • Minimum 3 years of teaching experience in IB Diploma Programme.
