Job Description – Senior Civil Engineer

The Senior Civil Engineer will be responsible for overseeing project execution, ensuring quality control, managing site activities, and coordinating with multiple stakeholders for timely and cost-effective project completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Site Management & Planning
  • Lead day-to-day site operations and ensure smooth execution as per approved drawings and schedule.
  • Site Inspection & Supervision
  • Monitor construction activities, check workmanship quality, and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Quality Control
  • Implement QA/QC procedures, review test results, and ensure material and work quality as per standards.
  • Material Reconciliation
  • Track material consumption, prevent wastage, and prepare reconciliation reports.
  • Vendor & Contractor Management
  • Coordinate with vendors, sub-contractors, and labour teams for timely work progress.
  • Material Procurement & Inventory Control
  • Raise material requirements, follow up with purchase team, and maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Progress Reporting
  • Prepare daily/weekly/monthly progress reports and submit to management.
  • Site Checking & Verification
  • Verify reinforcement, dimensions, shuttering, brickwork, plaster, and other activities as per checklists.
  • Construction Equipment Knowledge
  • Well-versed with all construction equipment, tools, and their proper operation.
  • RA Bill Certification
  • Verify, certify, and process running account bills of contractors.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting
  • Assist in preparing project budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Cost Estimation & BOQ Preparation
  • Prepare cost estimates, rate analysis, and Bill of Quantities.
  • Material Testing
  • Ensure timely testing of construction materials and maintain proper documentation.
